Nursing Studies (for overseas nurses)

This is a programme for nurses qualified overseas that supports and develops the study skills and knowledge base essential for nursing.

Entry requirements

Applicants should have: recognised nursing qualification in home country. Students who enter the programme must normally hold a qualification equivalent to a UK 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree
If English is not their 1st language, students will be expected to have reached a sufficient standard on admission to the course (IELTS 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each element, or equivalent). Appropriate entry visa to study in the UK.

Course modules

Challenging and enhancing services; research methods in healthcare; chronic disease management: long term conditions; end of life and palliative care; leading and managing people; law and ethics for healthcare practitioners; contemporary issues in sexual health; dissertation.
