Nursing Studies (for overseas nurses)

This is a programme for nurses qualified overseas that supports and develops the study skills and knowledge base essential for nursing.

Entry requirements

A qualification equivalent to a UK Bachelors Degree worth 360 credits: 120 credits at level 4, 120 credits at level 5 and 120 credits at level 6; a nursing qualification recognised in the candidates' home country; an appropriate visa for entry to study in the UK; if English is not their first language candidates are required to achieve IELTS 6.5 in all areas or equivalency according to the University�s admission criteria.

Course modules

Challenging and enhancing services; research methods in healthcare; chronic disease management: long term conditions; end of life and palliative care; leading and managing people; law and ethics for healthcare practitioners; contemporary issues in sexual health; dissertation.
