Research supervision available; current areas of research include: applied sport and exercise psychology; exercise as an anxiolytic or modulator in depression and stress; psychological aspects of injury rehabilitation; cycling biomechanics and bike fitting; repeatability and variability of motion capture and gait analysis; electromyography and interdisciplinary elements of pacing; learning through sport; education and excellence in sport; performance analysis; children in sport; physical education; perception and action; motor control; effect of observation on action; movement volition; sport and exercise physiology; globalization; labour migration; the Olympic movement; sociology of the body and social theories; interdisciplinary investigation of sport performance; physical activity and exercise for health; childhood obesity and adipose tissue distribution; integrative exercise physiology; pacing in sport; acid-base and sport performance; interdisciplinary analysis of pacing in sport; emotions and affect in sports performance, psychological factors associated with sports performance.
1st or 2nd class Honours degree or equivalent award in an appropriate discipline or appropriate research or professional experience at postgraduate level which has resulted in published work, written reports or other appropriate evidence of achievement.
