Human Resource Management

The course will focus on 'real world' business perspective which you can apply in specific areas, with the chance to further investigate your chosen specialism through an independent research project. The course is practically aligned to enhance your work experience and employability. An optional 6 month internship built into the programme allows you to gain important experience whilst at the same time contextualising your study.

Entry requirements

Either a 1st or 2nd Class Honours degree or equivalent plus at least 25 per cent of level 6 study of human resource management. The IELTS score for international applicants is 6.5 (with no less than 5.5 in each component).

Course modules

Modules include: business investigation and discovery; coaching and mentoring for business leaders; developing individual and organisational learning; engaging the diverse workforce; leadership and change management; strategic resourcing and talent management; strategy, sustainability and the global economy. Project alternatives: management project (based upon 'client' brief); or dissertation.

Assessment methods

Assessments will involve both written coursework assignments and examinations in the key areas of management. The Master's award will require students to complete a supervised 10,000 word dissertation.
