Theatre Film Television and Interactive Media by Creative Practice

This programme allows students to devise and develop a creative project in the fields of theatre, film, television or interactive media under the supervision of appropriate members of staff. In addition to a portfolio of creative work, students will also produce an analytic thesis on the substantive intellectual issues entailed in the project and a reflective log or portfolio relating to the creative process.

Entry requirements

Applicants require a UK 2.1 or international equivalent in a relevant subject.

Assessment methods

This programme allows students to research and write a thesis of between 80,000 and 100,000 words on an appropriate topic under the supervision of one or more of the department�s academic staff.

A range of scholarships and studentships are available at postgraduate level. Some scholarships are funded by the University (such as the York Master's Opportunity Scholarship) and some are funded by Research Councils, alumni, businesses and charities. Please check with the provider for details.
