Advanced Computer Science
Typically, you will have achieved at least an upper 2nd Class Honours degree (or international equivalent). We are willing to consider your application if you do not fit this profile, but you must satisfy us that your knowledge in computer science is appropriate for advanced study. If you are a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you are applying to.
Modules include: Concurrent and real time programming; constraint programming; evolutionary computation; model-driven engineering; quantum computation; service-orientated architecture; natural language processing; adaptive and learning agents; advance computer vision; advanced topics in interactive technologies; formal specification; topics in privacy and security; quantum information processing; static analysis and verification; individual project in advanced computer science.
These include practical exercises, reports and closed examinations. Your project assessment will be made up of a dissertation, a talk about your project, and a concise paper that you will be encouraged to publish.
