Economic and Social History

Postgraduate work in Economic and Social History is devoted essentially to research and the preparation of dissertations. The length of the MSc is one year.

Entry requirements

A 1st Honours degree at good honours standard (i.e. at least Upper 2nd Class, or its equivalent). The subject of the 1st must be appropriate to the intended subject of research and should normally include courses in economics and/or economic and social history. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.
