Health Economics for Health Care Professionals
The programmes allow students to gain an accredited qualification whilst continuing in their careers, and offer the flexibility to spread study over a period of years to match professional and personal circumstances.We offer the option for people to sign up and study for individual modules with no requirement to undertake the full award, subject to suitable entry requirements and places being available. Additionally, students are welcome to attend the two-day module workshop.
Applicants require a UK 2.1 or international equivalent in a relevant subject; there is no requirement for experience or qualifications in economics. All applicants whose 1st language is not English will be asked to provide evidence of their English language ability as part of their application.
Sample modules include: basic economic concepts; health economics: concepts and analysis; introduction to health care evaluation.
A range of scholarships and studentships are available at postgraduate level. Some scholarships are funded by the University (such as the York Master's Opportunity Scholarship) and some are funded by Research Councils, alumni, businesses and charities. Please check with the provider for details.
