The course consists of academic learning and 200 days of practice learning based in local agencies; the course aims to train reflective practitioners who work in an anti-oppressive way and are able to help people appropriately.
2.1 degree or above and minimum 1 year's relevant work experience required; IELTS 6.5 or 6.0 IELTS plus CELT (university of York centre for English language teaching) end-of-course test required for students whose 1st language is not English.
3 strands: knowledge for social work ; contexts for social work; social work practice.
Students resident in the UK for 3 years may apply to the NHSBSA for a bursary, including tuition fees.
