Human Resource Management
Applicants should have a good 1st degree (2.1 or equivalent) in a social sciences subject. Previous tuition in management subjects is desirable but not essential. Applications will also be considered from candidates with a good 2.2 degree (or equivalent) and at least 2 years relevant work experience. For students whose 1st language is not English, we normally require evidence of English language ability. If you're a non-native English speaking applicant you must provide evidence of your English language ability. You need to show enough fluency in all aspects of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required level of the course you're applying to.
Modules include: Term 1: Leadership, management of human resources; skills for human resource management; financial management. Term 2: Choice of 2: Learning and development; reward and performance management; regulating the employment relationship. Term 3: Research skills for human resource management; independent study module 1 and 2.
