This course focuses on developing artists' abilities and capacities for professional, vocational and academic innovation. Study emphasises relationships between composition, reflection, practice and dissemination across a dynamic breadth of fine arts disciplines and discourses.

Entry requirements

Applicants should hold an Upper 2nd Class Honours degree in a related subject or branch of fine arts or visual arts practice (such as digital arts, drawing, environmental art, media, painting, performance art, photography, sculpture, time-based art, video arts). Applicants holding a Lower 2nd Class Honours degree in another discipline with extensive experience of arts practice or working in a professional arts environment may also be considered. Students whose 1st language is not English require IELTS 6.0 (with no less than 6.0 in each individual component) or equivalent. For all candidates there will be an interview and consideration of a portfolio of work.

Course modules

Modules include: reflective practice; creatvity and knowledge; Master's independent project.

Assessment methods

Presentations of art works, reports, essays, catalogue documents, case studies and annotated documentations.
