Terms and conditions

  1. The competition is open to individuals applying for a place at a UK or overseas university to study a postgraduate level course beginning in either 2016 or 2017. For the purposes of this competition, ‘UK university’ is defined as an institutional member of Universities UK.
  2. International institutions must be officially recognised and accredited.
  3. Winners will be judged solely on their entries.
  4. The winning entries are those deemed to be the winners by the judging panel (which includes the editor of TARGETpostgrad.com and a panel of education specialists). No correspondence will be entered into nor feedback given to entrants.
  5. TARGETpostgrad will contact the winners’ universities and the department/faculty involved to confirm that they have secured a place on a postgraduate level course.
  6. The funds will be paid directly to the winners’ institutions towards the winners’ course fees. No alternative prizes will be offered.
  7. If the course fees are less than the bursary awarded, the winner will receive this amount only. Funds will be paid on receipt of an invoice from the winners’ institutions.
  8. The closing date for submitting entries is 5pm, 30 June 2016.
  9. The expiry date for payment to winners is 31 December 2017.
  10. TARGETpostgrad reserves the right to publish submitted entries or extracts of entries in anonymous form. Winners could be requested to take part in promotional activities and TARGETpostgrad reserves the right to use pictures, and the names of winners in such activity.
  11. Entries are restricted to those over the age of 18.
  12. All reasonable efforts will be made to contact the winner. If the winner is un-contactable, TARGETpostgrad reserves the right to redraw from other entries.
  13. By entering you confirm that the material you have entered is your own and does not infringe the intellectual property, privacy or other rights of a third party.
  14. Entrants’ personal data will used in accordance with TARGETpostgrad privacy policy and data protection legislation in the UK.
